Pastor Arthur Angila

Pastor Arthur Angila was born February 13, 1969 on the Dutch Caribbean island Curacao. He is the eldest of two brothers. In 1972, his parents accepted the Seventh-day Adventist faith. They died waiting for the promise of the soon return of Jesus.

Pastor Angila has been involved in the Adventist faith for more than 50 years since his baptism in 1977 when he was 16 years old.

Pastor Angila has served the church in numerous capacities which includes:-

  • Colporteur
  • School Chaplain
  • Hospital Chaplain
  • Bible teacher
  • Radio & TV station Director
  • Conference Youth Director
  • Conference Stewardship Director
  • Union Communications Director
  • Conference President

He has served in the faith in numerous countries such as:- Costa Rica, Venzuela, Honduras, Curacao, Belize and now the Bahamas.

His work background is extensive and includes:-

  • Director of Rehabilitation Center for drug users
  • University professor in the areas of
    • Professional skills
    • Human development
    • Introduction to Business Administration
    • Introduction to Old Testament
    • Introduction to New Testament

His academic preparation comprises of:-

Pastor Angila speaks four (4) languages:- Papiamento (his native language), Dutch (of the Dutch Kingdom), Spanish and English.

Pastor is married to the beautiful Sister Luz Elena Aurelien. They have three (3) adult daughters, a grandson and a son-in-law who is also a pastor.
